Big data in healthcare, health data science, artificial intelligence in medicine — these are emerging and exciting areas of research all around the world, which have been touted as the next big things to transform the way we deliver quality healthcare services in the next decade. These provide the basis for delivering precise, predictive, and personalized medicine within a context-specific setting all across the globe. It is with that in mind that we are happy to announce the 2nd Big Data for Health workshops and conference to be held on July 10-11, 2018 in Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines.

Following the successful hosting of this event in Cebu, Philippines last July 2017, we recognized the burgeoning interest that our first event generated. We hope and anticipate that many more data science enthusiasts, healthcare professionals, machine learning experts, health informaticians, system engineers, statisticians, public health practitioners, life science researchers, and scientists will get together to learn more about how to mine, analyze, and visualize Big Data extracted from numerous, disparate data sources.

We hope that by fostering and promoting a collaborative research environment, our event will serve as a unique catalyst in the creation of networks and integrated, multidisciplinary teams with the goal of finding new and effective ways of optimizing patient care. We are extremely proud that leading experts in this field – – from the academe, public sector, and industry — will be on hand to share their knowledge for this event. We encourage you to join us and we look forward to learning from one another!
