Atty. Liza D. Corro is the first Chancellor of the University of the Philippines Cebu, the 8th Constituent Unit of the University of the Philippines. She finished her law from the College of Law of the University of the Philippines Diliman. She has served as a confidential attorney of a Supreme Court justice and had actively practiced corporate law, before she joined UP Cebu where she now teaches Business Organization and Labor Laws, Obligations and Contracts and other related laws in UP Cebu’s School of Management. She serves several NGOs, including the Philippine Red Cross, Cebu Chapter where she is currently a member of the Board of Directors. She actively advocates in providing sustainable livelihood for women. She strongly espouse entrepreneurship and innovation, and heads UP Cebu’s Technology Business Incubation called UPCEBUinIT, and actively supports UP Cebu Fablab. She is currently a member of the Advisory Council of the Regional Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Development Council of Region 7 in the Philippines.
